The Rotaract Clubs of Aley and De Beyrouth are joining forces to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder through a collaborative community service project! We started this initiative with an informative social media campaign on Instagram, featuring Ms. Miryame Iskandar, the Inclusion Project Coordinator and Head of the Speech Therapy Department at the National Autism Center.
In the first video, Ms. Iskandar sheds light on the history of the National Autism Center, exploring the "How" and "Why" behind its foundation. The second video delved deeper into understanding autism itself. She explained the disorder, its characteristics, signs, and symptoms that parents and caregivers should be aware of.
This is just the beginning! Our project continues with a planned community service visit to an Autism Center. We'll be sharing more information about this visit soon, so stay tuned!
Together, we can create a more inclusive and understanding community for those living with ASD.
