Our International Dinner, a beloved tradition, is back for its second year. This delightful culinary adventure brings together an array of global flavors, converging on a single table. It's more than just a meal; it's a journey through the diverse dishes of various countries, providing a taste of the world's culinary richness. It's a cross-cultural feast that fosters a sense of unity and appreciation for global cuisine.
This year, we are proud to share that our International Dinner was not only a gathering of our club members but also a collaboration with Rotaract Mediterranean MDIO and our esteemed partners from District 2452. The event was graced by the presence of our Country Representative Marc Khoury, the National Team, including VDRR's Elise Nassif and Maroun Sarkis, as well as the esteemed presence of Emile Mouawad, our former DRR. It was an evening of connections, friendships, and cultural exchange.
The evening kicked off with a presentation about Rotaract Mediterranean MDIO, an introduction brought to life by our CR. This was the perfect start, providing our guests with insights into the incredible work being done in the Mediterranean region. It was a chance to appreciate the impact of our collective efforts.
Following the presentation, it was time to dive into the main event - the culinary exploration! Our members prepared dishes from across the countries of our Mediterranean, each dish representing a unique aspect of its respective culture. From the aromatic spices of the Middle East to the savory delights of the Mediterranean, every bite was a passport to a different corner of the world.
But the night wasn't just about food. It was also about fun and laughter. Games and activities brought our members and guests closer together. Whether it was a cultural trivia challenge or a dance-off, the camaraderie was undeniable. The joy of learning about one another's backgrounds through play was a beautiful testament to the power of our international community.
